I was sent away to find another hotel, treated as though I’d done something wrong while simply trying to check in. The front desk staff were cold, dismissive, and rude, with no effort to explain options or help. I travel often and have never been made to feel like a criminal like that. Even if the payment issue had been sorted out, their treatment alone was enough to make me leave. My payment details had already been provided, and I’d been told by phone that everything was taken care of. On arrival, they insisted on seeing the physical card. I understand that some hotels require it; the problem was how I was treated. The lobby had a pleasant smell and the hotel looked very clean, but the service didn’t match. Hospitality takes more than a clean lobby and a nice scent. I’ve been a Marriott Bonvoy Elite member for a long time and usually have great experiences at Marriott properties, which made this especially disappointing. Marriott Bonvoy has been informed, and I filed a formal complaint with corporate.

I was traveling for my birthday and walked in to a lovely surprise, a bouquet of flowers. The receptionist and manager were very polite, and checked in with me whenever I passed through the lobby. The staff were generally nice, and the food was average, about what I’d expect at most Marriott hotels. It was a round-number milestone birthday. I’m currently platinum tier and stayed more than one day. I hope they give flowers to everyone, but I was super grateful. It was my nicest hotel experience, and I may have to travel more often for my birthday.

After a long drive down from NY, it was nice to be greeted every time I came into the building. Our room was clean, the gym was well equipped, and the pool room was clean too. There’s a restaurant and bar on site, with plenty of good food options nearby. Lots on both sides of the building, so you could keep an eye on your car if you felt the need.

The people here made the stay for us. Jennifer checked us in with a warm welcome, and since my husband is a Veteran, she gave my family breakfast vouchers. The ladies who kept the breakfast food stocked were sweet and cheerful. The food was fresh, especially the fruit and waffles, and the desk woman in the morning graciously approved my late checkout request. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable, which is why we stay at Marriott when we can. Love it here!

I’ve stayed here twice and would come back whenever I’m in the area and need a good hotel. The facility is great and the staff are amazing. Jennifer was so kind and gave great customer service, and Corey at the bar made it feel like CHEERS, where everybody knows your name.
