We left after 15 minutes. The suite smelled of mold and diesel, there was a roach in the fridge, and nothing looked like the photos. The only two louvers that opened were in a broken window beside the parking lot, so we couldn't get a cross-breeze. The screen was broken, and the door was chipped up as if it had been kicked in and never fixed. There was no AC, which hadn't been publicized. The wall by the beach was in disrepair, and the courtyard waterfall didn't work. All that was left was standing water and bugs. We didn't feel safe at all. We'd booked the suite for a week through a last minute deal, but they were still cleaning when we arrived at 5pm. Their no refund policy is very strict. They were impossible to reach, wouldn't address our concerns, and kept our money. We lost a week's rental for 15 minutes in this dump. AVOID!!!

The little center garden with its koi pond and frogs was lovely, and we saw turtles swimming past our balcony. Paki Maui is also within walking distance of restaurants and places like ABC, so getting around was easy. Best of all, we could walk straight off the lawn onto the beach. It felt very private, with almost no other swimmers. The bakery nearby is fantastic, with a huge line every morning for what may be the world's most outstanding cinnamon rolls.

Rafa is THE BEST for efoiling lessons! He pays close attention to safety, positioning, posture, and teaching the right way to do things, so you pick it up quickly. We enjoyed the first lesson so much that we came back for a second before we had to leave. We'll definitely return!

The sunset views from this spot are great, and the location is beautiful. The complex itself needs better upkeep of its landscaping. Some units don't have air conditioning, and depending on where yours is, the ocean breeze might not reach it, especially on humid nights. Beach access right nearby has been blocked off. I assume that's to keep homeless people from the park next door out of the private area. It's unfortunate the governing officials don't seem to recognize the harm of placing accommodations for homeless people right beside private tourist rental units. If you know about these issues before booking, you can still enjoy the area, its beaches, and the eateries.

We loved our stay right by the ocean. The pool is small, but just right for young kids.
