Hilltop Inn Suites

This was my fourth stay this year, and I still have no complaints about the clean rooms or the respectful, helpful maintenance and housekeeping staff. The night front desk woman, though, was rude and seemed cranky. Maybe rotating the front desk and housekeeping staff now and then would help. Keep up the good work otherwise.

This was our second stay, and both times this hotel has failed us. There were maggots in the room, and the sink was covered in burn marks. The service was awful, the staff rude, and when we asked for help, they were combative and unwilling to fix things or compensate us for the horrible stay. We’ve had great experiences at the Motel 6 across the street whenever this place lets us down.

We left at midnight after spotting a couple of small bugs crawling on the phone. The bed pillows also had hair on them. They did replace the pillows, but nobody answered at the office when we tried to reach them, even though it says it’s open 24 hours.

The pool was advertised as open when I called before coming, but after I paid, I was told it was closed because the water was green. They also said there were no refunds. The room was a mess: dirty bathroom with soap on the floor and sink, no towels, a broken bed, and chairs with stuff all over them. The bathroom sink had burn stains despite this being a non-smoking room. There were no fitted sheets, and the replacement sheets brought by the maintenance man’s wife smelled bad and had hair on them. I asked for towels around 5 PM, but they didn’t arrive until 1 AM. When I reported the dirt, the front desk man said “dirty no,” then sent maintenance. The maintenance man said they couldn’t find the maid and that “she was slippin”. The staff were rude and no help.
