The kitchen area made our stay especially comfortable, with utensils, plates and bowls, pour-over coffee, a tea kettle, and snacks in the fridge. Our rooms were quiet and peaceful, so we slept really well. We enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it.

The shared kitchen seems to be a big reason for the roaches 🪳‼️ The service was terrible too. We didn’t see a single staff member all weekend, and the rooms were really inconvenient with no counter space. Save yourself the trouble and stay in Hilo, just 20 minutes away.

The beds were comfy, the rooms nicely decorated, and the staff were extremely nice. There’s amazing food at Aloha General on the same street. I’d highly recommend staying here instead of in proper Hilo town. It’s the perfect getaway.

Honomu is out in the Hawaii countryside, within walking distance of a local General Store and cafes, and very close to Akaka Falls. We enjoyed our 4 nights at this cute country inn. It was clean and welcoming throughout, including our room. The communal kitchen was clean and well stocked for eating and storing perishables. Our room was comfortable, had basic toiletries, and included AC. For more dinner options, you’ll need to drive to Hilo.

Thanks Lina! We had a lovely stay at Honomu Inn. The room was elegant, clean, and renovated. In the morning, we enjoyed good coffee and a little snack in the open kitchen, and we also went to Mr Eds Bakery to check out the goodies. It’s a very quiet, peaceful spot, just a 15 minute drive from Hilo. We’d definitely return next time.
