We stayed the night with our family after the Mount Hood Railway's Polar Express Trip. The hotel made it easy to get to the train station, and downtown Hood River was also close for a bit of exploring. Our connecting rooms were clean and spacious, with a river view. The front desk team was friendly enough and efficient, and the breakfast staff in the morning were too.

The beds were super comfortable, the indoor pool was warm, and breakfast had a good spread. The pool is on the small side, though. We really enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Hood River and will definitely come back. The only reason for four stars was the kids next door stomping around and disturbing the peace. We didn't say anything because our grandchild was with us too, and we were trying to keep our own noise down after seeing how it felt.

Breakfast was a pleasant surprise, with lots of fresh and satisfying choices, and the front desk staff were welcoming and genuinely helpful. The hotel is also easy to get around from: downtown Hood River, the waterfront event center, and plenty of places to eat or drink are all within a comfortable walk. The river views are stunning. Nearly every time we looked out, we saw a fly fisherman casting into the water, which gave the mornings a peaceful feel. A real gem in Hood River. It's comfortable and convenient, and we'd gladly stay again.

Dog friendly, with an indoor heated pool, and right along the Columbia river at the Washington and Oregon border. It's in a small town with nice shops and eateries nearby, and feels family oriented.
