Fairfield Inn & Suites Houma Southeast

The room was clean and the location worked well for my business trip, but I wouldn't stay here again. Breakfast was mediocre compared with other Marriott hotels I've visited: the eggs seemed likely to be powdered, definitely not fresh, and the sausage and biscuits were pre-bought Jimmy Dean. The evening receptionist was pleasant and professional. At checkout, the person seemed like they didn't enjoy their job.

We were told checkout was at 12:00 pm, but at 11:00 am room service came in while the do not disturb sign was up. They switched on all the lights even after we said several times that the room was still occupied. Really rude and inappropriate.

The pool was nice, though there weren't any towels, and breakfast was pleasant for the whole family even though we didn't eat everything. The shower also didn't divert fully, as another review mentioned, but it was still usable. The hotel and room were very clean. We've stayed at other properties, and they were far below this one. This is now our go-to place when we're in town, and the best place we've stayed in Houma.

The rooms are great and the location is convenient, but traveling with three children, I need adjoining rooms confirmed ahead of time. The hotel wouldn't guarantee them, so that makes staying here a no-go for us. I called the Courtyard by Marriott, and they were willing to accommodate us. When I explained why I needed to know in advance, the staff member was very short with me.
