Americas Best Value Inn Houston At Fm 529

For such an inexpensive price, I really liked this hotel. It was very clean and tidy, and the service staff were polite. I don't know why it only has two stars. Everything was great, I liked it a lot.

I slept really well and felt safe and happy here. The beds were comfortable, the location was quiet, and I didn't see a single bug. The room was extremely clean from the moment I walked in, especially the bathroom, and the shower was probably my favorite part. Front desk service was professional and amazingly quick. I'll book here again for future stays! ☺️

I ended up staying the night only because I didn't want to lose the $75 I'd paid. At first, I tried to cancel right after walking into the room because it smelled strange and had odd stains on the furniture. I hadn't even sat down, and not ten minutes had passed, but the manager, who is also the owner, said there would be no refund. He claimed that was company policy and said I could leave without getting my money back. When I asked to see the no-refund policy, he showed me nothing. I noticed it on the wall later, before I left. He was barefoot, too, which seemed ridiculous. I won't return or stay at another hotel from this company. What if an emergency forced me to leave? They'd still keep the money? That's unacceptable. After going out and coming back later that night, the magnetic key wouldn't open the door either. A woman at the front desk had to let us in with a regular key. The place had no aesthetic appeal at all.

Inside the rooms, everything seemed spotless and newly done, from the floors and paint to the furniture. The decor was modern and classy, and there was a big, beautiful tiled rain shower. The outside is basic, and the neighborhood isn't the best, though that's true of plenty of hotels. This was a great budget choice when we couldn't find deals on three-star places. My fiance and I enjoyed our stay at this humble little hotel. It seemed management kept a close eye on housekeeping. The family-run feel came through in how kind the management was. The manager was accommodating when an employee billed me the wrong amount, and seemed to put guests first and want them to be happy. We'd stay again.
