Best Western Galleria Inn & Suites

The breakfast was decent, clean, and had plenty to choose from. The bathroom was different: the shower had great pressure and heat, but the stall was so short it would probably be hard for anyone over six feet. No bathroom fan, and the room felt unpleasantly damp. The smell wasn’t great either, though not unbearable. The AC was adequate. Towels were basic hotel quality, and the polyester sheets were slippery. The sheets and surfaces were clean, but the mattress was unbelievably hard. There was a small roach on the bed when we arrived, and another on the TV stand the next morning. The elevator was broken. At least we were only on the second floor and had overnight bags. The stairwells weren’t air conditioned. I had to wait for the front desk employee’s break to check in, then part of another break to check out. The employees were nice, but those waits were annoying. A lot of people were hanging around at the back of the parking lot. They may have been guests, I don’t know, but the hotel’s signs and parking passes made it clear security is a concern in the area. If I booked last minute and had no other easy option, I’d stay again. Otherwise, I’d look for a softer bed and fewer bugs.

I checked out as soon as I could the next morning. The hallway and room smelled awful, the bedsheets weren’t clean, and there were some unknown clothes left in the drawers (PIC INSERT). The floor had stains and hadn’t been cleaned. The elevators didn’t work, so I had to carry my luggage up the stairs. I only booked for one night at the last minute without researching or reading the earlier reviews, and it was a waste of my money and points. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone, not even my enemies. HORRIBLE!

The staff were wonderful, so kind and good natured. I liked the second-floor balcony setup. The floors were pretty gross, though, and I spotted a roach in the bathroom.

Treasure at the front desk was a real treasure. She helped whenever we needed anything. We had a great stay, with no disruptions, and the hotel was very clean. It was also easy to get to all the shops and places to eat, and they were great. Thanks, Treasure!
