The breakfast team greets you with morning sunshine, and Rowdy takes care of rides like a boss. At the desk, Desiree makes you feel like you’re the only thing that matters. Such a unique, welcoming place to stay, with excellent staff.

Domingo Luebano from the security team went out of his way to help me during a busy time at DoubleTree by Hilton Houston Medical Center Hotel & Suites. He even found something I had lost and accidentally left behind. He didn’t have to make that extra effort, but he did, and his care and professionalism stood out. Employees like Domingo make a real difference, showing initiative and treating guests kindly. His actions reflected well on the hotel and made my stay better. Thanks to the whole team, and especially Domingo, for showing real hospitality. It doesn’t go unnoticed. I hope the higher-ups see this too. Good credit where it’s due!

The beds were very comfortable, and they gave me a warm cookie at check-in. When the hot water in my room gave me trouble, they sent someone right away and it was fixed quickly. The breakfast buffet was pretty good for the price, and Maria was a really nice server. Great value.

The kitchenette was a nice feature, and the pool was clean and served its purpose for our cheer competition. But I wouldn’t stay here again. The room’s AC never got below 74 degrees all weekend. It’s an older hotel, so some cosmetic wear was understandable. Still, the lobby was clean while the market was understocked, the elevators worked only sporadically, and the bar was closed during its posted hours. We were told the bartender sometimes “runs errands” and shuts it. We came for NCA Houston and had to Uber everywhere because the area isn’t walkable. There were lots of homeless people nearby, including a few living at the end of the parking lot. The lot is small and fills up, so sometimes you have to park in the garage around the corner. They validate parking, but there’s no ride back to the hotel, so you have to walk. When I asked about late checkout, I was told no because it would put housekeeping behind. The booking said breakfast was free, but at check-in they said there had been an issue with the sales team and we wouldn’t get it. Instead, it was discounted from $20 to $10 per person.
