I was in town for a funeral and picked this location to be close to family for the weekend. I won’t trade away comfort like that again, and I wouldn’t recommend it for a vacation. The staff were friendly, which was the only good part. Everything else was dirty: the front door, switches, pillows, toilet, and shower with hair in it. The refrigerator shelves had drink stains, and nearly all the towels were dirty, with just one clean towel and one washcloth. I felt dirty the whole time. I arrived late after a long trip and made excuses, but I should’ve skipped check-in and found a better place. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. It’s an outdoor hotel, with doors opening onto the parking lot, so it can get loud. There was noise behind the building all night, maybe from the rain, like a bucket or pipes rattling, or maybe rats. With the thunderstorm, it was extremely loud. When the satellite TV lost signal, all I had were my devices and that rattling noise. The room looked recently remodeled, but everything was still dirty. If you need a quick emergency place, it’s dry and has the basics. If you expect any level of luxury, even something like wall-mounted hand soap instead of the smallest possible bar, I’d avoid it. I’ll probably never stay with this franchise again.
The location was fine, with a couple of good spots nearby, and the service started out friendly. Then we got yelled at over an oil leak in our car. The room was awful: no clean sheets, pillowcases, or blanket, and the bedding and towels all had stains or burn marks. Even the extra towels we asked for were dirty. I got three unexplained bug bites on my arms and hand, so bed bugs were possible, and I saw a roach in the middle of the night. The water kept shutting off and coming back on. Breakfast was old, sour apple and orange juice plus a mini muffin or granola bar.
The air conditioner cooled the room quickly, and I liked the open shower setup and strong water pressure. The room was nice and clean. I’ll be back.
I was in Houston because my truck had broken down, and this hotel was right beside the repair shop, so I stayed several nights. The room was very clean, the staff were friendly, and it wasn't too noisy. There's a Whataburger right next door and a convenience store across the street. One thing I couldn't get was a printed, complete record of my stay and payments. The man at the desk said he couldn't provide one. I'm not sure why, but I guess that's how it is.
The evening check-in clerk was genuinely kind, but the next morning's interaction was awful. The woman was rude and walked away; I only got help after calling the front desk phone and having her come answer it. The room door didn't fit its frame, with the bottom misaligned. And the so-called breakfast was just a Nature Valley bar or muffin, plus juice or coffee. Wouldn't recommend.
