Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Spring

The one thing I couldn't find was an elevator. Still, we had a lovely stay at Econo Lodge. The staff were friendly and professional, and the room was spacious, spotless, and tastefully decorated. We had a king-size bed and a sofa with a coffee table, and the bed was super comfortable. I loved that clean-linen smell as soon as we walked in.

We came to Houston for my uncle's memorial, and after some bad hotel experiences in major cities, this was a welcome change. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and even called from the front desk to check that we were happy with the room. They also honored my husband's military service. After sleeping on a mattress that bothered my back while staying with family, these beds felt like cotton. The room was very nice, the price was well worth it, and I'd stay here again if I'm back in the Houston area.

We found this a good value for the area, close to the freeway and shopping, and I'd come back if we're nearby again. The room was clean and everything worked; the staff were friendly and accommodating. I can't remember the last time a front desk called after check-in to ask if the room was satisfactory, but they did here. Breakfast was decent, if limited, and included waffles. Some furniture could use updating: our table wobbled and the office chair had seen better days. It suited us fine for an economy hotel.

I paid about 60 dollars a night and came in with low expectations, but this place turned out to be nice, clean, and well staffed. My king room had plenty of space, a sofa, a refrigerator, and a microwave, and it was very clean. This is easily the best place I've stayed at this price. It'll be my regular spot for work trips to Houston.
