Four Seasons Houston Hotel

The rooms have been renovated recently and are OK, but the building is really old, and the first thing I noticed was a mold or mildew smell, like the kind you get at beach resorts. I was here for a week in April for work, and for three days in a row I left around 9 AM and came back at 4 PM to find my room hadn’t been cleaned. I’ve worked in luxury hospitality, so the service at this Four Seasons appalled me. It didn’t live up to the brand, and I wish I could request a refund. I paid a premium for the name, but this place is three-star at best. Never again. Please don’t waste your money here; stay somewhere else.

The Four Seasons in Houston is my favorite part of visiting the city, and I’m fortunate to stay there most times I’m in town for work. The rooms are lovely and tasteful, and the hotel and restaurant staff are kind and thoughtful. I can’t think of anything negative to say. In one word, it’s quality.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times, including once for two weeks, and didn’t want to leave. Housekeeping at this Four Seasons is top-notch, which matters a lot to me, and the service is great. There’s room service, a pool, and a gym, plus a concierge who can arrange a rental car or a driver to pick you up at the airport. That saves you from dealing with an app like Toro or the unpredictability of airport rentals. The hotel is fairly close to the airport too. I’d definitely stay again.

Marcia, the manager, is the best person we’ve met in our hotel stays. She handled every issue with care, treated us respectfully, and was genuinely kind to our baby. We felt comfortable, valued, and happy throughout our stay because of her. She’s an incredibly professional and amazing woman. We used to prefer the Ritz-Carlton, but Marcia helped us discover the Four Seasons. The management and restaurant staff at Toro Toro, though, could learn a lot about courtesy and professionalism.
