Since move-in, it's been one problem after another. Both elevators were broken on the day we moved in, so we had to haul heavy furniture and boxes up four flights of stairs. The apartment hadn't been prepared or cleaned properly: dirt covered the baseboards, there was mold in the shower, door handles were missing, and more besides. The building's maintenance problems never seem to get fully resolved. The elevators break constantly, and one has been out of service for at least four months. Both are down today, leaving disabled residents to use the stairs. Pipes keep bursting and flooding multiple floors, with water damage and repeated disruption. The AC fails almost monthly, and cockroaches keep coming back, which adds to the concerns about upkeep and management. The advertised amenities are another frustration. The pool has been closed for months because management apparently won't maintain it properly or pay to have the inspector return and reopen it, yet we're still charged amenity fees for things we can't use. Rent is quoted at one amount and then more than a hundred dollars in hidden monthly fees gets added for amenities that don't work or don't exist. Security is a concern too. The entrance gates are often broken, our car was broken into and vandalized, and management hired a predatory towing company that has mistakenly towed residents' vehicles. This has been one of the most frustrating living experiences I've had. I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere before signing a lease.
