Hilton Garden Inn Houston Medical Center, TX

The free laundry machines and nice gym were great extras, and I loved the breakfast. The lobby felt welcoming, and the employees were professional. My room was clean and comfortable, with a perfect sunrise view. As a Hilton team member visiting Houston, I had my best experience at this location. My family and I enjoyed our stay, and I’m happy I chose this hotel. Thanks!

I really liked how calm this corner of the medical center felt. The streets are wider and less hectic than around the Med Center or NRG, and there’s a shuttle to those destinations. Hermann Park is right across one street, with trails leading toward the zoo, golf course, and Japanese Garden. My room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the Subway sandwich shop next door was handy. I slept well and enjoyed being here during the “winter storm.” 😄

We were told on Friday that we could keep the same room for our whole stay, even though we had two reservations and the second was an upgrade. Then Sunday morning, before we’d even gotten ready, the front desk said we had to check out because the room wasn’t available. When I reminded them what we’d been told, the response was, “Well that was Friday, now we’re overbooked.” The sudden change and the way it was handled were really frustrating. I understand overbooking can happen, but they could have honored what they promised or at least dealt with it courteously and taken responsibility. The lack of communication and professionalism was very disappointing.

Amy Lubarsky was attentive and helped me with all the planning for a three-day conference. It went extremely well, and I had a great experience working with the staff. I’d highly recommend the hotel, and Amy, if you’re organizing an event in the area.
