Lotus Inn

It smelled bad and was VERY dirty, with everything broken down. The TV was broken and the remote didn't work. I had to leave and get another hotel because of the smell and dirt.

The property is falling apart. It wasn't clean: the surfaces were sticky and the floor hadn't been vacuumed. The advertised breakfast doesn't exist. Please don't come.

I was coming out of a divorce with nowhere to go, and I also run a business in the local area. This place was affordable for me, and the manager was extremely nice and welcoming. The rooms are cleaned daily, the air smells fresh, and it's extremely, extremely quiet even though it's by the freeway. You can't hear activity from neighboring rooms. For these types of hotels, if you know what I mean, it's 10/10.

The room wasn't nice, but it did keep me out of the freezing storms hitting South Texas, with freezing temperatures, rain, sleet, and high winds. I have to work, and I didn't know if I'd even be able to find another room. The $50ish deal wasn't worth being put out in the middle of the storm and possibly having to sleep in my car. This was on 1/09/2025. Happy New Year. If you book online through a booking-app/site, you get a lower rate. But they may tell you they won't rent to you anymore. The clerk? / owner? / manager? said she wouldn't rent us the room again and told us to take all our things when we left in the morning. When we asked why, she said she wanted to rent it to someone else. There were no incidents during our stay, and plenty of vacant rooms to rent to someone else. The only thing they get a star for is that the parking lot is fairly well lit in most areas.
