Luxury Inn Houston

They wouldn’t give us a room. I guess it was because we were looking for our ID, but I’m not sure why.

Calling this place Luxury inn is a huge stretch. The tiny room was badly infested with roaches, the bed was a pity mat on a slat, and the fridge barely worked. We got 2 and a half towels for almost a week, with no sign of housekeeping. The walls were tissue paper thin, and the room was boomy the whole time I was upstairs. The first night, people a few doors down had a violent fight and the police were everywhere. It was so loud that weeks later I still feel traumatized. I paid 300 for the week by mistake, then checked out and fled a day early. The people staying there seemed wayyy toxic. Staying here makes you think about how much you value your life.

I visited my sister, who was staying there, around 11am with my 9 month old daughter. After maybe two hours, they called to complain and wanted my sister to pay $20 for my visit. I explained at the office that we wouldn’t be there much longer. There’s no AC in my car, and my daughter and I were getting too hot. The woman at the desk said, “That sounds like a personal problem.” I had to hold back from cussing her out so my sister could stay for the day she’d paid for. They were threatening to kick her out.

My friend is over 60 and staying there, and the manager put her on the second floor even though plenty of first-floor rooms were empty. The place wasn’t customer friendly at all. Then the manager owner's daughter and her boyfriend terrorized the whole second floor for at least two hours, fighting, slamming things, biting each other, and carrying on in a really outrageous, unbelievable way. If I were my friend, I’d have demanded my money back and gone down the road.
