I booked Grand Villa Inn Galleria through Expedia at the price shown and confirmed there. At check-in, the desk employee tried to charge almost twice that amount. I understand a deposit may be required, but this was much more than a deposit and hadn't been explained ahead of time. I said I no longer wanted to stay and asked to cancel. I even offered to pay the cancellation fee, but the employee said they couldn't cancel, despite already having all my information. They told me I had to stay the night and speak to the manager the next day, which I wasn't comfortable with because the amount demanded didn't match my booking. Later, I was charged a cancellation fee twice what I expected. Other reviews seem to describe similar surprise charges. The whole thing felt unprofessional and badly handled. Double-check every charge before booking or checking in. ALSO THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY. THIS IS FRAUD AND SO UNPROFESSIONAL.

There's plenty to do nearby, though the area isn't very walkable if that matters to you. The neighborhood also felt sketchy, and service could have been better. The room itself was quite spacious, clean, and well ventilated and cooled. Quite the experience.

The bathroom in my room looked newly renovated, and the furniture seemed new too. The staff were really friendly, the place was clean overall, and I liked almost everything. It was better than I expected for my one-night stay. Just a couple of small drawbacks: the little couch wasn't very clean, and the door could use an update to feel more secure. You can tell they're putting effort into renovating. If I'm back in the area and need somewhere to rest for a night, I'd choose this place again.

The facilities are very nice, but the employees are rude. I get that sometimes customers can be difficult, but not everyone is like that, and staff shouldn't take it out on all of us.

It was quiet and serene, with a really chill atmosphere and no drama or issues. I loved the interior shade and the bathroom, and the mattress was comfortable. The interior felt super modern, everything worked great, and the hotel was much more pleasant and comfortable than I expected.
