We left and went to another hotel down the street because I couldn’t risk staying with my two young kids. We’d driven from FL to visit family, had only slept two hours, and booked this place online because the price looked good. The first room, which we got around 3:15pm, reeked of cigarette smoke, so we asked to move because we have a 2-year-old and a 5-month-old with a heart condition. The second room had an odd smell that got much worse when we returned later. It smelled like meth or another drug, and we found the smoke detector covered with a garbage bag. That was a serious safety concern. The desk employee said she couldn’t move us because nothing else was available and couldn’t issue a refund. When my boyfriend went back to sort it out, she was nasty, condescending, and dismissive. She eventually offered another room, but after two rooms with bad smells we were done. The odor made my boyfriend lightheaded, sick enough to vomit, and itchy; he has health conditions too. We’re now getting the runaround trying to reach the manager, with the desk telling us to call back because she doesn’t know how to contact him and he might come in later. Really unprofessional. If you care about your health, I can’t recommend this hotel.

For the price, it was an okay place to sleep, though I’ve stayed better. The room was clean, with no signs of bed bugs. The parking lot was very dark, with sparse blue lighting, and there was plenty of road noise from being right by the highway. Breakfast was mostly pantry food, with no waffle maker, and the new apple juice had clumps in it. Check-in took about 10 minutes while we waited for the service guy to answer the buzzer and phone; then he seemed angry that we arrived late, even though they knew we were coming. Check-out was easy, we just left. I’d give the stay a 7.

For the price, room 209 is great so far. The beds are comfortable, the big TV works well, and the air conditioning is okay. I haven’t seen any bugs. The paint job is a little off, lol, but I judge a place on the main things. I don’t know yet whether they serve breakfast or how the morning will go.

It’s super quiet here, and the rooms are really clean. There’s a free basic breakfast too. I’d stay anytime, highly recommend.

Maria at the front desk was incredibly helpful. She showed me several rooms so I could choose, and my two chihuahua children were welcome without hesitation. If they can’t come, I’m not coming either. The price is super low, and the appliances, furniture, paint, and floors in the rooms are all brand new and very clean.
