Batterby House – Adults Only

Everything we wanted to see in Hudson was within walking distance, and the stay was affordable. After checkout we realized we’d left something behind, and the kind, attentive staff shipped it to us right away.

I slept incredibly well here, thanks to an extremely comfortable bed. The rooms were spotless and nicely decorated, and there’s a pleasant shared sitting area with tea and coffee. It’s easy to walk all over town from here, while the street itself is quieter and more relaxed than the main drag. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels, and this was my best sleep ever.

There was coffee and a few drinks, but no breakfast, and we didn’t have any contact with the host. Our room at this beautiful B&B had a balcony, though the rain kept us from using it. I’d recommend that room when the weather’s dry.

The Hudson location is handy, just a block from the main area, and the rooms stayed quiet despite being in an old house converted into roughly nine rooms. Mine was newly remodeled, modern, and comfortable. A good choice if you just need a room.
