Micosta Leisure Inn

My plans changed after I got my second flat tire of the day while biking through the area, and Steven was incredibly accommodating about my last-minute booking. The separate suite by the river felt like a peaceful retreat, with nature and his gardens all around. I’d stay again, hopefully when things go more smoothly.

The owner was helpful and pleasant, and we felt at home here. We wanted somewhere quiet where we could make our own meals and unwind, and this was just right. There’s a small farm and orchard to look out on, and many historic sites are easy to reach. We’ll come back when we’re in the area.

I managed to book at 7am so I could sleep off an illness before work that evening. Stephen was kind and flexible about it. He was also very responsive, and the rooms had excellent attention to detail. For the price, this beat any hotel I’ve stayed in. If I could give six stars, I would.

The grounds are lovely and the setting is quiet and peaceful. My room was impressive, essentially a one-bedroom apartment, and modestly priced. Steven, the owner, is charming and kind. I grew up in the neighborhood and had no idea such a great place was just down the road. I plan to book here whenever I return to New York.
