The front desk staff made me feel welcome, and when I accidentally locked my key in the room while collecting my bags, they replaced it without any trouble. My room was nicely remodeled and very clean, even though the building's exterior doesn't make much of an impression. It's definitely a roadside motel, but it suited my little weekend getaway to Willow River State Park perfectly. The location was convenient, too. I did some shopping in the evening and had dinner at a local restaurant. I'll be back on my next trip to Willow River.

The beds were so comfortable and the shower was great. The outside may put you off at first, but inside it's a comfortable place and a good deal in Hudson. The office manager was welcoming and even gave us a bag of goodies on the house. I'd happily stay again and recommend it.

You can tell the owners put care into the place and want guests to feel rested. The rooms are exceptionally well kept and clean, and the bed was probably one of the most comfortable I've had in a motel. I'd stay with them again without hesitation.

We visit family in Minneapolis often and have tried several hotels while looking for somewhere safe, clean, quiet, and comfortable to sleep. We were wary of the Royal Inn at first because it cost so much less than other places nearby, but we've never had a bad stay. The rooms can be a little small, so we pay a bit extra for a double queen room. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, the location is convenient, and the service is friendly. We've also tried hotels closer to Minneapolis, but none have come close to the Royal Inn for the value.

The rooms are on the small side, but they're newly renovated and look really nice inside. Staff were helpful and accommodating, and I enjoyed my stay at the Royal inn. It was a great experience.
