Comfort Suites Hummelstown - Hershey

The rooms had plenty of space and were clean and comfortable, and the front desk folks were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had lots of options, but the food wasn’t especially tasty. Still, I don’t expect much from hotel breakfasts. We really enjoyed the stay and would definitely come back.

We picked this hotel for its fairly close location to the Hershey attractions. The room was large and had a separate sitting area, but the bathroom was tiny and the sofa had stains. The kids staying for sports were mostly across the hall and fairly quiet, which was a relief. The one thing that made sleep difficult was the old window heating and AC unit. It was extremely loud, and even with both heat and AC off, the fan kept running. Our keys also stopped working every time we returned, so we had to keep going back to the desk. Breakfast was gross and had very little selection. When we checked out, there was a police officer behind the counter and three police cars outside, one with a K9. Seeing that made me wonder how safe the hotel was.

We were in town for a Hershey conference over the weekend, and I’m glad we stayed here. Val, the evening desk agent, made us feel welcome and was very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hot breakfast was fantastic. It’s also in a great location. I’ll plan to stay here again next time I’m in town.

The room was huge, the beds were comfortable, and the shower was nice. The heat and AC units weren’t great, since the air could feel cold even when set to heat, but they weren’t very loud and the background noise didn’t bother me. Check-in was easy, and the lobby felt welcoming and comfortable. A nearby gas station or convenience store would have been useful. There isn’t really one close by, so you’re left with the hotel shop and its markups, and a heads-up that it only takes cash. I also thought the pool hours were odd: it’s open only from 10 AM to 10 PM, leaving just a few evening hours and an hour in the morning for swimming. Hope you can shower fast.
