The Ukrainian food was delicious, easily worth 100 stars to me. I had to pay for it, though, and there seemed to be mixed messages about whether meals were included. The price was reasonable, but ask ahead to avoid confusion. The water had a smell, so I couldn’t shower and used drinking water to brush my teeth. There was a little sign saying it was organic and had minerals, but that still cost the place a star. It’s a picturesque cabin-style hotel, very clean, with spotless, bright white sheets. The rooms are small and warm, and the price seems fair for what they offer. It’s an ideal spot for skiing at Hunter Mountain, just an eight-minute drive away. It’s kid friendly, with two cats and swings outside, though we didn’t get to use them in the snow season.

A calm place that gave me a bit of a feeling of home. The staff were really friendly, and the chef and service were wonderful. The Ukrainian food was authentic and delicious, served buffet style.

The grounds had lots of room to unwind, including a playground for kids and places to sit outside. Our room was clean and cozy, with charming rustic details. The staff welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home, and it was clear the owners put care into making sure guests have a good stay. Xenia Resort sits in beautiful mountain surroundings with lovely views and a peaceful feel. We had a wonderful visit, would definitely return, and highly recommend it to anyone coming to the Hunter area.

A laid-back escape with lovely views and a river, plus friendly staff and delicious home-cooked food included. It’s a rustic resort with a Ukrainian style, and seems well suited to families or couples. There’s also a Ukrainian church down the road.

The creek and Ukrainian food were the best parts of our stay, which lasted over a week. My family and I enjoyed being here. Bring drinking water, board games, and water shoes, and ask for a fan since the rooms don’t have AC. You’ll need a car to get around. There are also adorable cats wandering around the property.
