Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Lake Norman Huntersville, NC

Country Inn & Suites, Huntersville, just off Exit 25 on I-77, was a cozy place to wait out the snowy weather. We were warm and comfortable in a clean, nicely heated room, and the staff were welcoming from the moment we arrived. The hot coffee was especially nice while watching the snow outside. It was a peaceful, pleasant stay, and we’d happily return. I’d recommend it to anyone traveling through Huntersville or along I-77, especially in winter.

The pool area was clean and warm, and there was a fire pit on the patio. The location was convenient, with plenty of places to eat and explore nearby. We stayed at Country Inn & Suites Huntersville, which was the cleanest hotel we’ve ever visited, and the front desk staff were very friendly. We had a room with a jetted tub and pullout sofa bed, but my son’s sensory issues meant we needed to switch rooms in the middle of the night so we could sleep. That wasn’t the hotel’s fault. The front desk woman was understanding and helped us without any issue. In the morning, the gentleman checked to make sure we were settled and had what we needed. We’ll definitely stay again when we’re in town.

The hotel was easy to reach, within walking distance of a steak house, and the staff were friendly. The room, though, hadn’t been cleaned well. I found a dirty cup under the nightstand, stained towels, and crumbs on my husband’s side of the bed. Brown water came out when I first turned on the shower, then cleared. Some cabinet doors were falling off, and the hallway had a strong, strange odor. We won’t stay here again when traveling.

Our king suite had plenty of space, with a separate seating area, a pullout couch, and a TV in both the sleeping and living areas. The free hot breakfast was pretty standard, offering eggs, sausage, make-your-own waffles, oatmeal, and cold cereal. My only real complaint was the pillows. They were really small, so I had to ask for extra ones to make up for it.
