I've stayed here dozens of times for an annual event, though Penn State games often leave me unable to get a room, and then they charge $500 a night. This visit was very nice. The room was clean, as you'd expect from a Marriott, and housekeeping tidied it each night of my multiple night stay, something they hadn't done since Covid. The breakfast staff member who personally greeted everyone was especially pleasant. The TV lineup is the worst, and having the Marriott TV channel come on every time feels like subliminal marketing, or as Patch Adams put it, "Excessive Happiness", LOL. The snack shop was nearly empty, but Sheetz is only a few steps away, so it's not really needed.

The room and hotel felt really outdated, and I came home with a skin reaction on my back that seemed like it may have come from the hotel. The beds were dirty, one of the replacement towels was dirty too, and the towel rack was broken. At least the bed was soft, the water hot, and the AC worked, which can be enough for an okay stay. I barely interacted with staff. An Amazon package arrived for me, but no one told me, so I seem to have left it there.
I only stayed a day at Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Huntingdon Route 22/Raystown Lake, but it was a really comfortable, peaceful place to unwind. The rooms were clean, and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. There isn't much nearby to walk to for attractions, though.
The rooms and facility were clean, but the service and breakfast were disappointing. I checked in around 3:30PM on the 18th, and the woman at the desk was very polite. At checkout on the 19th, the desk attendant was sitting off to the side reading or texting on her phone. When she noticed me, she only asked if I was checking out. I said yes and expected her to ask how my stay was or whether everything was satisfactory. Maybe that's too much to expect from someone who'd rather be on her phone than deal with customers. I was there with my two sons, expecting the advertised breakfast before we got on the road. At 7:50AM, with breakfast meant to be served until 9:00AM, there were only a few bagels and some bread. I overheard the kitchen staff say there was just a bag of sausage left and nothing else. I don't know how the hotel can run like that, especially charging so much for one night just because there was a home Penn State game. I was highly disappointed with my stay on October 18 & 19.
I usually don't leave reviews, but I'm making an exception for this place. As a Lifetime Platinum Elite member, I've stayed in plenty of hotels, and this was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and professional. They did a great job.
