Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa

We really enjoyed our stay. There was plenty to do around the hotel, and the pier area was an easy walk away. The Starbucks had a great range of food, snacks and drinks, and there was a small shop for souvenirs. The restaurants were okay, and we liked the spa and adults-only hot tub. The grounds have fountains everywhere, and most rooms have balconies and good views, with some even having their own fire pit. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the shampoo and conditioner were vegan. Lots of amenities overall.

We stayed four nights after a conference and loved having a balcony and waking up to ocean views, with Catalina Island's mountains in the distance. The landscaping is beautiful, and the staff were genuinely helpful and welcoming. My massage at Pacific Waters Spa was great, and I spent some happy hours by the pool, where service was quick and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, though not especially plush. Such a great spot on Huntington Beach.

This is a big, well-kept property with a bridge down to the beach, plus free chairs and umbrellas to take along. Our balcony room was very clean, had what we needed, and was quiet. There are several food options: the restaurant's breakfast was really good, and a walk down the breezeway gets you quick bites or a morning latte. Service was excellent from start to finish. There were a lot of kids around the pool and elsewhere, at least over the weekend. The adults have a jacuzzi area, but I'd have liked an adults-only pool too, or a pool in the spa. On a warm day, I could see paying for a spa treatment just to get that. I went with my partner, so the family-focused feel was a little disappointing for a grown-up getaway. Weekdays might have a better balance. Families looking for a clean, fun stay with something for adults too should be happy here. The other downside was parking at $60 a night, which is often more than San Francisco.

It was easy to relax in our spacious, comfortable room, and the beds were especially good. Housekeeping kept everything fresh and well cared for. Around the resort, the architecture and landscaping are beautiful, with a calm coastal feel. The pool has lots of seating and suits couples and families, and crossing over to the beach is simple. The ocean and sunset views are incredible. Everyone we met on staff was friendly, professional and helpful. The whole place balances upscale touches with comfort. We had a great stay and would gladly return to the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa.
