Quality Inn & Suites Huntington Beach

The room was spacious and nicely updated, and the place was easy to find and get into. We also had no trouble with parking, and our room was very clean. Rhonda and Elaine made check-in especially pleasant. They were so helpful and friendly, a real breath of fresh air after some other hotels I’ve stayed at. Great experience.

The employees were friendly and helpful, but the hotel itself felt rundown and unsafe to me. At night the doors are locked and you have to use a service window, which added to that feeling. My room smelled strange and had several problems: the sink was clogged, the shower lining was coming loose, and some areas had been repaired badly.

Rhonda at the front desk was great, and the location was nice, but I wouldn’t stay here again. The room didn’t look like the photos, the windows were filthy, and the bed sagged in the middle. Breakfast was a lousy bag meal, supposedly because of covid. Other hotels in California still serve a full buffet, so to me this just seemed like cheap owners. I was there for one night.

The room was adequate for what we needed, and the rate was reasonable for this part of Huntington Beach. A previous guest had left something pushed way back in the freezer, which housekeeping seems to have missed. The toilet tank also leaked every time we flushed. We told the staff, and they offered to move us, but it wasn’t a big issue since we hardly spent time in the room. For this price point, it was about what I expected.
