Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Huntington-Civic Arena

The room was clean and well stocked, and the shower was amazing, with great pressure and shampoo and conditioner that smelled lovely. The hotel is in a fantastic downtown spot, right beside the civic center and close to restaurants, a bookstore, a market, and more. My husband and I stayed on Valentine’s Day, and we heard loud trucks and car horns several times through the night, so it can be noisy. The pool area was okay, though there was graffiti on the walls that I don’t know why they wouldn’t clean off. There’s no hot tub. The gym looked nice and had cool towels and fruit. Breakfast isn’t included, and there’s no free coffee in the lobby, so you’ll need to make it in your room or wait for someone at the bar to help.

The gym was clearly put together by someone who likes to work out. It had a good range of free weights and machines, plus a nice cable machine. The bar and restaurant were convenient, and the food tasted great. The pool was warm and very clean. We booked an Executive room, and it was spotless. The beds were firm but comfortable, and the whole hotel felt clean and thoughtfully decorated. It’s updated, has amenities that make it worth the stay, and I’ll definitely be back.

Sherma, the AGM, was so sweet. I liked that she took time to walk around and talk with hotel guests instead of staying in the office like many upper managers do. The customer service was amazing, and the location is great, close to restaurants. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Apart from this, it was a nice hotel with a good, safe location. I spotted a beetle or some kind of insect in my room, but I’m not sure where it came from. There was no one available to deal with it, so I was up all night doing pest control in my own room.
