Sonesta Simply Suites Huntsville

Sonesta is my number one place to stay when I’m in Huntsville Alabama now. Bridge Street is within walking distance if you like a walk, and the price feels fair for everything included. The rooms have full kitchens with dishes and utensils, a stove but no oven, and I think you can ask for an Air fryer. They’re always clean, and you can do laundry for free. The staff, including the cleaning ladies, are kind, friendly, and respectful. I recognize faces more than names, so I don’t know their names, but they’re great.

Mya checked us in when we arrived, and she was professional and very nice. Our room was clean and well maintained. I recommend this hotel, and we’ll definitely stay again.

The best part was the front desk ladies, who were absolutely stellar. I hope management knows how lucky they are. I saw one manager treating another employee poorly in plain view of guests, though. The room itself was dirty: sticky kitchenette floor, stained pillowcases and sheets, and a stained, burn-marked sofa in a room that was supposed to be smoke-free. There were several flies, and the alarm clock was broken. When I adjusted the heater/AC, the fire alarm went off. Housekeeping only comes after 5+ days, and you have to carry your dirty towels down to the front desk to get clean ones. The hallway also had a strange smell every morning.

I stayed three nights with my Service Dog. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, and I’ll stay here again. At check-in, they gave me a granola bar and a bottle of water, which was a nice touch.
