Sawmill Creek by Cedar Point Resorts

The lobby sitting area was beautifully decorated for the holidays, with two huge fireplaces and lots of seating. The pool and hot tub looked nice, and the staff were friendly. Our room was clean and nice, and the beds were comfortable. The fireplace was a nice touch, but it runs on a timer that you have to keep resetting, and you can hear it if your room is quiet. We'll stay again.

I enjoyed working by the fireplaces, though the outlets near them really need to be better placed. The cafe and cleaning staff were lovely, and everyone I dealt with was professional and helpful. The grounds were beautiful and the facility clean, but the rooms felt dated, like painted cinder block, and the in-room amenities disappointed me. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, but no lunch, so you have to eat off-site. I was at a conference in early October, and even though it was 80 degrees and sunny, the outdoor heated pool was closed for the season and all the lounge chairs had been put away. That was really disappointing. I don't play golf and had hoped for more spa-like amenities at a resort, but there were no spa services or sauna. Sitting by the indoor pool and hot tub didn't appeal when it was so warm and sunny outside. This place seems geared more toward men coming to play golf.

The employees made us feel so welcome. Everyone, from the front desk and restaurant hostesses to housekeeping and even the plumber, was kind and gracious. It's lovely to see people who enjoy their jobs. Thank you, Sawmill Creek, for making my husband's birthday celebration so special. We can't wait to return in spring. We spent four days in a Jacuzzi King Suite, and the room was immaculate and well appointed. The bed was so comfortable, and the blackout curtains let us sleep in. Each night we played board games by the fire in the lounge, and we also enjoyed the pool and spa. We had the place to ourselves, which was so relaxing. The breakfast buffet was perfect, and The Millers Table was delicious. The kitchen did an amazing job, even with the coldest winter in years and probably only five guests across the whole resort for the first few days. Everything on the menu was available.

The price was great with everything bundled, and booking online was easy. It was also a good distance from Cedar Point and the beaches and lighthouses. Our room was very clean, and the jacuzzi was spotless. The housekeepers were polite and brought us everything we asked for. Breakfast buffet service was incredible and the food was delicious. We were really impressed with the resort and would highly recommend it. We'll definitely visit again!
