The Rock Bowl itself was beautiful and made a wonderful setting for our daughter's wedding ceremony. Everything else, including the catering, service, bathrooms, and communication during planning and the event, was disappointing. I started out hopeful and left with a one star experience. We booked in January 2025 with Miranda and her assistant, the events manager at the time. Miranda seemed confident and experienced, saying she'd managed many weddings there and things always turned out well. As the months passed, communication became a major problem. No one told us the assistant we'd been asked to email had left, so several important messages went unanswered. After repeated attempts and calls, we finally reached Miranda again. The tasting food had been hot, well seasoned, and nicely presented, so we felt good about our choices. At the wedding, the food was cold, as if straight from the refrigerator, and promised elements were missing. Appetizers were delayed until the bride's mother complained. Games meant to be set out for guests after the ceremony weren't available until we returned from photos 40 minutes later. The bar stopped serving drinks, even water, for a while. Table service was nonexistent, glasses stayed upside down and were never filled. Dirty dishes and leftover food remained on tables until the event ended, despite multiple complaints. The restrooms were unacceptable, with a foul odor throughout the venue and overflowing men's urinals, even after we complained more than once. Staff kept telling us, “We’ll take care of it,” but nothing got handled. Most of the servers spent much of the reception sitting behind the bar on their phones. The promised shuttle didn't run as scheduled, leaving elderly guests to walk from the Rock Bowl to their cars. After photos, the bridesmaids also had to walk from the 10th tee back to the venue because the shuttle wasn't operating properly. We spoke the next day with the event manager's supervisor, Brent. He first seemed remorseful, but then offered an unreasonably small, dismissive gesture that did nothing to make up for the service. The lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability overshadowed what should have been a joyful, memorable occasion. The Rock Bowl has potential as a beautiful venue, but until management addresses staff and operations, we can't recommend it for a special event.

The friendly staff and practice area were great. The golf holes each feel distinct, with desert on both sides of every fairway. The courses are new, and the clubhouse sits in a development with natural red rock outcrops. There are more than 18 holes: I saw an 18-hole championship course, a links course, and an executive course. Beautiful desert courses.

We played the Championship and Links courses in early February, and both were in great shape. Championship is a solid challenge without being impossible, and the views are breathtaking. Links is a fun nine-hole course in the traditional links style. The pro shop staff and marshals were first rate. The rooms are another story. Calling it a “resort” feels like a stretch, in my opinion. Our bed was listed as a 6-8" right, but a leg was broken and replaced with a too-short 2x4. There was one blanket, too small for the bed and so thin you could read a newspaper through it. No dresser or drawers anywhere, peeling lampshades, and art in warped frames nailed to the wall. We got no maid service or towel service in three days, and there were no USB outlets. Maybe other owners take better care of their units, but if you can, avoid 6101. It seems the rooms are privately owned and the “resort's” role is just booking them. We tried the Grill the first night and didn't go back.

The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was soft. They had Roku, which made watching TV nicer than at a regular hotel. The front desk staff were very nice at both check-in and check-out. I found a great deal online and needed a night for a conference, and I don't regret booking it. The desert sunrise in the morning was gorgeous and reminded me of home in Phoenix. I'll definitely stay here again. Thank you!!!

If you love golf, you need to play this course. The views are incredible, it's in great shape, and I can't wait to come back. Just an amazing place!
