Our host was friendly and accommodating, and we had a charming, clean room with plenty of space for my things. I stayed in the Blue room for a weekend, which has a private bathroom and a huge shower. It's close enough to walk downtown Saratoga Springs, yet the neighborhood was quiet and we weren't bothered by nightlife noise. On Saturday morning, we had to move our cars because of alternate parking rules, but it was no big deal.

The Purple room has a shared bathroom, and there's a small shared fridge and microwave. It's a classic Victorian home in a peaceful neighborhood, with downtown Saratoga only a few blocks away. Nice location.

I had planned a romantic Valentine's Day evening, but slipped on ice that morning and ended up in the ER with a broken upper left arm and shoulder. The owner refused to release my reservation. I felt the proprietor chose greed instead of doing the right thing. Fortunately, the card on file was a PayPal MC. They insisted I contact the owner one more time, but I said no. So I disputed the transaction and left unfavorable reviews on social media. It's easier on yourself to look for positive outcomes in difficult situations.
