The bed was good, but that was about the only bright spot. I couldn't get hot water, and there was no way to adjust the heat. I had to open the door a couple of times overnight so I wouldn't sweat like a pig. Check-in and the door both required an app, and it didn't work. Nobody picked up when I called. Luckily, after I texted earlier, I eventually got a reply with the room key code. I used to find this a solid, cheap motel in town, and a perfectly fine option. It's never been fancy, but the neglect has caught up with it and this visit wasn't worth the money. Sad. I hope they can turn it around.
The location was perfect, but the treatment and room were awful. The website gave a misleading impression of the pet policy, and management told me I didn't look disabled. I felt judged and discriminated against for having psychiatric assistance dogs. They put us in a room with no heat and there was no staff to help with anything. After my spouse, the dogs, and I went for a walk, we returned to find five people in our room with all our belongings. They had come in while we were out. I've never stayed at a worse motel and wouldn't recommend it. I'll be looking into legal action over the discrimination. I'll never come back.
We didn't stay overnight because the unit was so dirty and run down that we couldn't trust the beds to be safe. The VRBO listing promised hardwood floors and a king size bed, but the flooring was screwed-down laminate, the headboards were coming apart, and the outside looked like low income housing. Inside, the shower was falling apart, there was blood and other stains on the bed, a handprint on the wall, and dust thick throughout. We had to find somewhere else late at night, 40 minutes away in Lake George. The person I texted wouldn't take calls and never called back, though they said they would when free. They promised a full refund, but it never arrived, so I disputed the charge. This was in early August. Then on December 5, I found another $25 charge from the same business. I never authorized it. When I called, he said it was for the “system that they used.” I told him right away that the charge wasn't authorized and asked for an immediate refund. I highly recommend avoiding this place.
Avoid this place. This is my second review for people thinking of booking, and my full experience is below. The hotel confirmed by email in writing that I'd get a full refund, but never processed it. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company, and then the manager submitted false, inaccurate documents in response to my claim. Now I have to spend the next few months fighting the dispute because of their dishonesty. This business operates unethically.
We were allowed to stay at Community Court for two weeks, then told we couldn't stay any longer because of my girlfriend's service dogs. Their webpage says they're dog friendly, but they aren't, and they lie about it. While we were out walking, they left our door open and didn't tell us they'd entered the room. We're just people trying to get by and find a place to live. The staff and so-called managers are rude and disrespectful to disabled people. They seem to enjoy kicking out disabled people and people who have no home.
