Atrium Hotel and Conference Center

Our suite had bunk beds and a queen bed, and it was very clean and quiet. The staff were helpful, and the pool area was amazing, though we had to go to the front desk to get towels. Breakfast was very generic, which is why I didn’t give five stars.

We stayed two nights for a family reunion and had a great time. The pool is awesome, and the kids had a blast, even though the kids’ pool was a little cold. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the grill and bar had affordable food and drinks. Our room was comfortable and nice, though not fancy. The beds were comfortable and came with plenty of pillows to choose from. Bathroom size varied between the rooms.

The pool I’d planned to use was closed and drained. My three-year-old was heartbroken and couldn’t be calmed down for a while. There was no AC in my room, and I was told only certain rooms had fans that could be controlled. After spending all day outside at the state Fair, I was left in a very warm room, unable to swim or cool down, and the loose bathtub grip strips didn’t feel safe. They were peeling off when I stepped on them, even with dry feet. The toilet kept running because its chain was off, so I had to put my hand inside to fix it. I’d booked a king bed but got two queens. Why weren’t any of these problems mentioned before booking or at check-in? Nobody asked how my stay was. It didn’t feel professional, and it seemed like they didn’t care.

The location was convenient, next to Chick-fil-A and shopping, and the desk staff were great and took care of what we needed. The pool was decent for the kids. The building itself was dated and needs updating. A section near the back entrances was cordoned off with yellow caution tape because it seemed to be falling apart, which was a big red flag. My toilet clogged right away, and the bathtub’s hot water came out as a trickle, leaving me with a lukewarm shower. My daughter also spotted dog hair on the room carpet.
