We won’t return after this disgraceful customer service. I’ve never felt so humiliated in a foreign country. We were told from day one that cleaning meant doing the bathroom, making the beds, and vacuuming. Only the beds were done. I complained three times. The first time, they agreed it wasn’t okay and said they’d notify the cleaning lady, but nothing changed that day. When I raised it again, staff laughed, acted arrogantly, and didn’t take us seriously. They kept saying the manager wasn’t there and would be notified, but they never informed him and I never got his call. They laughed in our faces, gaslit me, and said they didn’t have time for this.

We had a comfortable stay in beds that were decent. I have a bad back, so no bed was going to be great for me, but these were comfortable, with four pillows each. They’re listed as twin beds but seemed at least full size. My husband and I slept comfortably in one, and our teen daughter used the other. The location and price couldn’t be beat. We walked Main Street every night, and also went on foot to Kalmus beach and the HyLine ferry to Martha’s Vineyard (or Nantucket). There are lots of delicious restaurants and Main Street spots within walking distance, along with souvenir shops, local artist shacks, fishing excursions, and sunset cruises. The front desk will give you an on-site parking pass at check-in to display on your dash. The indoor and outdoor pools are also up at the comfort inn. We didn’t use them, but they seemed clean (?); good luck as renovations continue. Our room was newly renovated and had a kitchen with a microwave, mini fridge, instant coffee maker, sink, and cabinets. There was a one night stand dresser, a dresser drawer TV stand, a square table with two chairs, an overhead light, and a cushy chair by the window. The bathroom was updated, with great lighting and mirror, a nice shower with food water pressure, a brand new toilet, new sink and counter, plus a hairdryer and towel and washcloth rack. Everything worked properly until checkout morning, when water pressure dropped, I think due to construction. Breakfast was complimentary at the Comfort Inn. There were some things I didn’t like in the room. A side gap at the door let in light and sound, and the flap at the bottom made a swishing noise whenever it opened. I didn’t like the faux wood floor. I refused to go barefoot because my family’s feet turned black with dirt. There were few outlets, with only one between the beds. The ice machine is on the second floor, so you have to go up from the first, and it isn’t ADA accessible. The entrance and kitchen had no lighting. There were knobs on the wall but no closets or hangers. I believe our young man’s name was Edwin. He was THE kindest soul, seemed to love everyone he spoke to, and made you feel special. He’s worth his weight in gold! Give that man a raise. The front desk staff were nice enough, though they seemed to be working through the renovations too. The Comfort Inn used to be part of the Heritage House rooms, but Comfort Inn bought the big unit, and the Heritage House inn is now being renovated to join the Choice hotel family. For breakfast, you go to the Comfort Inn. Most mornings there was some kind of sausage, links or patties, with pan cooked eggs, egg patties, or home fry potatoes. Bread choices were generic white or wheat square slices and small muffins. Fruit was apples and oranges, and there were usually two juice options from a machine. There was a toaster, two cereal options, yogurt that was always a banana strawberry mix, plastic utensils, paper napkins, and packets of jelly, peanut butter, and butter. The highlight was the “make your own” waffle station, with blueberry or regular batter and syrup. Coffee and ice water were available too.

Even with renovations underway, the place felt clean, quiet, and thoughtfully managed. It’s a cute boutique Cape Cod getaway, close to dining spots and the ferries, and feels like a hidden gem. Can’t wait to return once the full renovation is complete. This is going to be a standout hotel in Hyannis!

The room was clean and modern, and the cheerful desk clerk was helpful. It’s a nice, clean little hotel, tucked behind the Comfort Inn and part of the Choice Hotels Family. A few local restaurants are within walking distance.
