The apartment was roomy and had great ocean views. I loved being right by the beach, with so many sand dollars around. My brother even had three dolphins swim right past him. It was warm even in December!

Soft sand and a really nice beach. Lots of people boogie boarding and surfing, and plenty of lifeguards were out keeping everyone aware of the currents.

This beach has a character of its own. If you go swimming, watch for the many stingrays in the water. Learn the stingray shuffle and you'll do well.

In December the beach wasn't very crowded, and I thought it was great. The shops were good and there was plenty to do.

It's not a very well-known beach, but it may be as nice as Coronado beach, Pacific Beach, or la Jolla beach. It's about 8 miles north of Mexico's border.
