Red Roof Inn Cleveland - Independence

For the price, it's an OK place, and about a 15-20 minute drive from the things you'd want to see. But it was really noisy, with lots of people hanging around at night, and the walls seemed paper thin. Half the outlets were missing or didn't work, and the floors were sticky. I asked the front desk about an iron and ironing board and got a rude look, like I had three heads. Fair for the price, but I'd stay somewhere else if I could.

The place outside was dirty and run down, and the rooms were incredibly noisy. I could hear everything around me and outside, as if the doors and windows weren't shut. Inside, the bed cover had stains and there were no blankets or washcloths. The furniture was rusty and beat up, and the mini fridge smelled like something had died in it. The faucet felt like I had to pull it out of the sink to turn it on. TERRIBLE!

The rooms are spotless, the staff are friendly, and the place feels safe and welcoming. You can see that people take pride in their work. Sheri and the team at Red Roof Inn go out of their way every time. He runs the front desk with real care and professionalism, remembers guests' names, and checks in to make you feel like family. I'll stop over the weekend with across the street for drinks and food. Thanks to the crew for making a regular hotel stay feel special. You've got a loyal guest, and I'll be back.

For a budget stay, this is lowkey one of Cleveland's best spots. I've been here many times, and the rooms have always been clean, warm, and spacious. From the top of the hill, there's a great distant view of the city skyline.
