I was very satisfied with the room and the help, though the price felt a little high. The night shift gentleman who checked me in was kind, polite, and helpful, even though I didn’t arrive until 5 a.m. He had my room ready, explained the breakfast hours and the easiest way to find the room, and helped me with everything despite my back problems and other health issues. I really appreciated him, though I can’t remember his name.

Matthew at the desk was especially kind and accommodating, including with our dog. The rooms were very clean, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. It’s a great value, in a beautiful town close to downtown and the college. I’d recommend it.

A few nights ago, my boyfriend stayed here with his college teammates and woke up covered in bites the next morning. We can only suspect bed bugs. Check the sheets, covers, and mattress before staying, or better yet choose another hotel. Bed bugs are a nuisance nobody should have to worry about.

Update: The AI generated response doesn’t address the problems. I dealt with the owner, not an employee. The owner knowingly and intentionally violated the law. As the response itself admits, I’ll share it with my additional complaints. I’m also starting a credit card chargeback since my money still hasn’t been refunded. Don’t stay here. I was discriminated against for having a service dog and refused a room unless I paid for it. The owner said my PTSD didn’t qualify. I tried to explain what my dog does for my medical needs, but he interrupted, shook his head, and kept saying I had to pay. Then he asked personal medical questions, which I told him he wasn’t allowed to ask. At that point, he offered a full refund, even though I’d paid up front for a nonrefundable reservation. I was shocked by the hotel’s appearance when I arrived, and they wouldn’t let me see a room. The webpage photos don’t show what the place looks like. I believe they’re stolen. I photographed the desolate, run-down exterior, with broken windows, broken-down cars, and what I can only assume was septic water seeping up through a freshly paved blacktop area that was still roped off. A dog was running loose on the property. This didn’t feel like a safe place to stay. I’ll file more complaints about discrimination against a disabled person and service dog under Pennsylvania state law.
