Admiral Motel

My son showed me the motel when he arrived, and I told him to leave immediately. They should be embarrassed to be open for business.

I lived there from 2018 to 2020, and it was much nicer then. Now it badly needs maintenance and service. It’s become a hazard to people.

If you’re a biracial couple, don’t go there. The manager, John, was racist toward us and harassed me the whole time my man and I were there. He told my man to get me under control, even though John started every day with an attitude. The rooms had bugs and mold, and the mold was alive. When we first arrived, John said, “we have a little bug issue,” but he didn’t fix anything. I felt like he watched my every move when I went outside. Kids and dogs aren’t welcome either. It’s disgusting. We moved out about a month ago, and I’ve just been diagnosed with walking pneumonia. I believe it was caused by the mold that lingered in my lungs. Horrible place. If you decide to go anyway, good luck 🤧🤧😷😷👎👎👎👎🏥🏥🏥

The room itself was in bad shape, though the bed was fairly comfortable. There was no covering on the bathroom window, so I bought and installed a cheap mini blind for privacy. I also put a safety chain on the door. The small window AC worked okay in the big room, but it was poorly installed and left a serious security vulnerability. Hot water took about ten minutes to reach the room, no exaggeration, but once it did, it was plentiful and stayed hot. The area is nice, near Walmart, other shops, restaurants, and my bank, and the price is very reasonable. All the rooms are on the ground floor, so you can park right outside and don’t have to carry your things far. But service was terrible. The owners were often away from the office and property, and most days wouldn’t respond until after 11 am. I had to take out my own trash and ask for towels. The bed was never made and the room wasn’t cleaned once during my stay of over a week. I wish I’d left sooner and doubt I’d stay again. For a longer stay, one of the many extended-stay hotels around Indianapolis would be much better. If you need a very cheap place for one night, it might do.
