The room’s pricing seemed inconsistent, since my friends and I were each quoted a different rate for the same room. We also found a party in another banquet room that kept going until the police arrived at 3:30 a.m. We could bring in food and drinks and make noise ourselves. The room wasn’t okay. The tub was dirty, the floors were sticky, and the heater kept running with no way to turn it down. When I pulled back the covers, there were two long black hairs and a nasty stain, so the sheets clearly hadn’t been washed. I didn’t sleep under them, just on top of the bed with my coat as a blanket. I had to use the trash can to carry water from the tub to flush the toilet.

Nothing in that room felt clean. It hadn’t been cleaned before we checked in, and there was urine around the base of the toilet from the previous guests. We found out that night the shower didn’t work. My husband and I were sleeping on one mattress upside down, and later realized how disgusting it was.

There were kids and teenagers staying at the hotel without adults. The manager saw children alone in the pool and let them run around anyway. We also saw two kids completely nude.

It worked for what we needed, and the employees were nice, but the place felt sketchy. The room was clean. Some outlets were pulled out of the wall and others didn’t work; the connecting door was flimsy and had a broken knob. The bathroom door looked like it had been kicked in at the bottom, and the main door’s deadbolt didn’t work. We didn’t swim, but the pool water looked cloudy and had a film on it.

Our room floor was so sticky, and the common areas looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for several days. This was an extremely dirty hotel. Unless you have no other choice, find another place to stay, even if it costs more.
