I think they changed the bedding and gave us fresh towels, but that seemed to be the only cleaning done. There was a used pair of men’s underwear on the bathroom floor, along with used toiletries, and a phone charger was still plugged in beside the bed. The sink was clogged, the shower head leaked, and the carpet was filthy. The people in the lobby at check-in also made me suspect some sketchy activity was going on. This hotel was gross.

I’ve stayed here twice in the past month while in town for soccer tournaments with my sons. It’s right off 65, and anything we needed was close by. The lobby and breakfast area were clean and looked after, and the beds were really comfortable. The Sunday morning receptionist was sweet and professional, and the price was very reasonable. I’ll definitely stay again.

My partner and I were on our way from Wisconsin to Evansville when our car broke down near Indianapolis. After it was towed, we spent the night at this hotel and still didn’t know whether it would be fixed Friday or not until Monday. The woman at the front desk was incredibly accommodating: she gave us a later checkout and let us wait in the lobby for seven hours until my parents could come from Wisconsin. She turned on the kitchen TV for us, brought us water, and kept our bags behind the desk while we went to get food. 12/10 for customer service.

The beds were made neatly and clean, and the bathroom was clean too. The tub and shower fixtures weren’t loose, though the shower insert seemed to move around quite a bit against the fixtures and wall. There were a few gnats in the room for some unknown reason, and a dried, unidentifiable thing was stuck to the shade of an old bedside lamp. The hotel interior also felt a little shabby. The desk person offered me fruit and muffins to take along since I had a very early checkout, which was nice. That same person accidentally checked me into a room that was already occupied, which was a bit alarming, but they fixed it when I went back to the desk. There was also a card hold issue for incidentals, though it wasn’t the hotel’s fault, and I mention it only to make clear it has nothing to do with my review. I travel for work and don’t know this area well, but it seemed decent and I had no location concerns. It wasn’t the worst place I’ve stayed, but I wouldn’t choose to book it myself.
