We left without staying and drove home for pizza on my son's 16th birthday. About $200 gone, and what was meant to be his birthday gift turned into a ruined day. The way we were treated and blamed is something I can't forget or forgive, and I'd never recommend AmericInn or book there again. I'd reserved a King suite three months ahead, with a pullout bed for my son. The room wasn't ready when we got there, which was fine, but then we were told there were no pullout beds. He'd have to sleep on the couch, while my wife and I couldn't do that. The offered "upgrade" was a standard double queen room, with no refund for the price difference. The pool was also out of service. When I said my son picked the hotel so he could swim, the woman said it was our fault because the website showed it was closed. Had it been down for three months? We still got no refund, nothing. Possibly the worst hotel experience I've ever had.

The shower was the one letdown, the water was cold, room temperature at best. Otherwise, the staff were helpful and relaxed, and breakfast was simple but good. The room was clean and a big improvement over the hotel we'd been staying at before. The pool was closed, but we hadn't planned on using it anyway.

For three nights, nobody came by to take the garbage or replace the towels, so I had to ask for towels. That's why I gave service four stars. The room mix-up was handled well, though. The manager worked hard to make sure my family got the disability room we needed, and I appreciated her help.

The room was clean, and the beds were really comfortable. It was also a little worn: the smoke detector hung loose from the wall, some bathroom tiles were loose, and one shelf was partly pulled away. Breakfast was simple, the staff were friendly, and the workout room was adequate.

We had the best four nights of our nine-day trip here. Breakfast was plentiful and available for four hours each day, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. The location worked really well for us, and our room had plenty of space to move around.
