I was shocked by the roaches. They were crawling along the walls, over the TV, across the table where my dinner was, and over the floors and linens. I don't do bugs, especially roaches or bed bugs. If I'd known, I would've gladly spent $20 to $100 more somewhere else. It was late, and the staff didn't seem willing to move me, even though you'd think a room with roaches would warrant another one right away. I'd also seen several guest reviews warning about this infestation, but I hadn't read them before booking. The place looks like a former hotel was converted, and it feels as if the owner is either too cheap or simply uninterested in renovating. The after-hours phone attendant was rude, and I had to cut the call short. The front desk attendant was gorgeous and helped me get to my room easily, which is the only reason I rated service two stars instead of one. This place is unacceptable. I can't see how it passes health inspections unless the inspectors are crooked too.

The last time I stayed was a few days ago, and I won't make that mistake again. I've used this hotel for business trips in the area and it used to be so nice. The staff have always been kind, especially Lena, who's the brightest of them all. Lately, though, the small crew looks drained and has to hustle to keep up. There doesn't seem to be any maintenance, and management shouldn't be operating the place in this condition with so few people to handle everything in a day. Guests can be disrespectful too, arguing over anything and needing reminders about where trash goes and not to prop doors open. They charge $1.75 for a linen exchange, yet they never seem to have towels. I pray for the young staff member.

The place is run down, old, dirty, and has bugs and roaches. The photos look nothing like what the hotel is now, and I don't know when they were taken. Staff were rude. The owners only show up on Fridays, so good luck getting help with a problem from Saturday through Thursday. Don't waste your time just because it's in Avon. The other locations are much better.

I booked a full week for a work assignment and told the hotel I'd be arriving late because of travel delays. Even so, when I got there around 5 a.m., they said check-in stops strictly at 2 a.m. After that, they mark you as a no-show and give away the room, even if you've paid. I was exhausted after more than 24 hours of moving and still couldn't get in. They also refused to refund the $451 for the room I never used. Someone else on my assignment told me about similar problems: people sleeping on the lobby floor, barely working showers with water coming from the faucet instead of the showerhead, and other maintenance issues that made her leave early and book somewhere else. With the check-in rule, refusal to refund, and poor conditions, I'd strongly advise against this hotel and company.
