The guy at the snack counter was great and went out of his way to find us cups, since the hotel wasn’t going to provide any. The woman who checked us in was rude, though, and the room didn’t have a single cup. The remote had no battery cover, so the batteries kept falling out whenever I set it down. The TV was nearly impossible to watch, with lines, a very dark picture, and big white spots. A smoke alarm in the hallway beeped all night with a dead battery. We sprayed the room several times, but it still smelled like sour beer and booty. The Wi-Fi was awful. I hated staying here and wouldn’t send my worst enemy.

The service was great, and I’m satisfied apart from the coffee, which makes me sick. Roaches came into my room from the neighboring room, where someone lived like a tweaker, but I’m good. There’s a gas station across the street with great coffee and freshly made chicken, either to eat there or take out. The servers were nice and friendly, and the people were nice.

Around 4:30 in the morning, someone tried to enter my room with a key card. I yelled, and they got the front desk person, who said the room should be vacant. I told him I’d checked in the previous day at 5:30 and had the key cards. He asked my name, but I said not to worry because I’d be leaving soon, since I was wide awake anyway. Less than ten minutes later, I went to the lobby, but nobody was there. I waited and knocked on the glass for close to ten minutes, still freaked out, then slid the key cards under the glass and left. Motel 6 later told me the property system had marked me as a no-show and said I had to call in. The manager wouldn’t work with me, even when I asked how I could’ve gotten into the room without checking in. I had the key cards. They told me to contact hotel.com, where I booked, and only opened an investigation ten hours after the incident. I’d come for the Easter weekend National Basketball Game for DII DIII. Check-in around 5:30 PM went smoothly, and the location was good for going out to eat. The room wasn’t very clean, the switches had been painted over, the outlet by the bed only worked with the light on, and the bathroom sink faucet was loose.

The manager on duty was even worse than the rude front desk guy. He threatened to pull the gun at his waist on me. I had my hand on my holster during a tense moment because his movements were erratic and he kept touching his waist. The guy at the desk acted like I was someone off the street and refused an extra towel, even though there wasn’t one in the room. There were roaches, mattresses that seemed like they came off a twin bed from 1980, and a moldy cigarette smell in the room. Noise and the smell of drugs were so bad that incense or turning the TV all the way up barely helped. I don’t recommend this hotel for families or anyone who cares about personal hygiene. The good reviews here are fake.
