Manager Harry was welcoming and patient. He listened, understood what I’d gone through, noted the heater problem, apologized for the rudeness, and refunded my stay. I’ll come back, since I trust this was a fluke and can be fixed. I’ve stayed here lots of times and usually find it affordable, quiet, clean, and comfortable, with friendly staff and a fridge and microwave. This time, Dev was rude to his female coworker and then to me. He rushed me, wouldn’t help find my rewards number, assigned me a dirty room, said I was lying about it, moved me to the second floor when I’d asked for the first, and wouldn’t give me information about making a complaint. The heater was so slow that I slept in my hoodie and coat.

The place is dated and needs some TLC, and it sits by a fairly noisy intersection. The bathroom needs work too: the shower head fell off when I tried to adjust it, and there was what looked like a gang sign on the back of the door. They painted over it in another color, but it was still visible. Both bedspreads had cigarette burns, though the bed itself was comfortable. At check-in, the person at the counter seemed annoyed. The person checking me out was super friendly and even apologized that she couldn’t refund the night we didn’t use after heading home a day early. It served its purpose, but needs work to be more than an average cheap hotel.

This room was dirty and ratty. The bed had stains, and there were no pillows or blankets. Neither the AC nor the heat worked, there was no phone in the room, and the lighting was bad. It wasn’t worth the price, and I had to wait five days to get my deposit back. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

When I checked in, I needed to change my reservation. Karl and his coworkers helped make the arrangements I needed. The team here has always been friendly and helpful.
