Staybridge Suites Indianapolis-Fishers by IHG

We booked a three-queen suite, and having two bathrooms was amazing for our group of women. The rooms were clean and spacious, and breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. We’d definitely stay again and will probably book here when we’re in Indy, which is several times a year.

We needed somewhere to stay for several weeks and regret choosing this location. The lobby was nice, but that was about the only thing we liked. The rooms felt old, dated, and dirty. The windows were drafty, and the furnace and AC unit gave off a smell. Housekeeping was awful, and things didn’t get done unless you asked. Staff were extremely rude, except for Bem. Breakfast was good, but the social hour food was barely edible. Rates changed at different times, and staff lied about what they were doing. The smell was terrible, like methane gas and sewer, especially at night. Some nights it made me sick. When I asked about it, they said they didn’t know what it was and ignored us. They kept the fire doors open to move more air, which didn’t feel safe. I got very sick there, and we’re pretty sure it was mold. I’m feeling much better now. I’d recommend the Staybridge in Carmel instead. The staff there are amazing, and the rooms are bright, clean, and homey. Is this better than an extended stay? Maybe, but I’ve never stayed at one, and it can’t be much better. Don’t spend your money at the Fshwra Staybridge. It isn’t worth it.

The beds were comfortable, but the upkeep was poor. Our luggage cart was broken, the room handle came off in our hands, and there were broken light fixtures and bedside lamps almost falling apart. There was no blow dryer, and we weren’t sure one would be brought up. I ended up here because I made a mistake, and hope not to repeat it. I love the Staybridge brand, but this location fell short of what I expected and needs some care.

I drove straight from Atlanta, GA, for 10 hours, and arrived to a room that wasn’t suitable for my needs. I had reserved an accessible room with a queen bed and either a walk-in shower or grab bar, but got none of those things. The bed was king size and so high that I cried because I couldn’t work out how to climb in. A family member brought a step stool, but I still struggled. The toilet was so low I had to use my cane and the wall to stand up, and the tub edge was very high with no handrail, so I couldn’t shower. At check-in, the clerk said I’d been put in a room for deaf guests because I booked through a third party, AAA. The next morning I showed my reservation email to Shi at the front desk to show what I’d booked. She was shocked and tried to be helpful and understanding. The woman who checked me in had said there were no other rooms available. The room itself was nice, but it wasn’t appropriate for me as someone with a disability. I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. I’ll never stay at another Staybridge Suites.
