The Argyle on Mass Ave

I’ve lived here for ten months and still haven’t gotten parking, or even a tentative date for when a spot might open up, despite the website saying “Surface Parking Available.” You can find free parking on this part of Mass, but it’s a real loss of convenience. The biggest concern is security. The whole second floor is used for temporary renters paying daily or weekly rates, so people who don’t live here are constantly coming and going. There are no security cameras, and people are regularly let into the building. Someone came into my apartment while I was out walking my dog and stole things. With no cameras, nothing could be done. The building’s cleanliness is also questionable. The carpets are disgusting, there’s graffiti on windows, and basic wear and tear never gets addressed. At the end of the day, you’re paying for the location. If you can spend extra on an apartment that offers parking and feels secure, I’d do that.
