The Tallison Hotel A Tribute Portfolio Hotel

We had a fun time at the hotel bar, and the lobby was a nice place to hang out, eat, and have a drink. Our room was clean and nice, with two comfortable queen beds and plenty of pillows. We were there for a basketball tournament weekend, and the staff were flexible about schedule changes and gave us a late checkout. There was a lot of construction nearby, including roundabouts.

Pam at the front desk was a star, and the housekeeping staff were very accommodating. The food was good, the gym was great, and everything was clean. One of my best hotel stays, and I'll be back whenever I come to Carmel.

The room was clean and laid out nicely, and we were able to check in early. The lobby and hallways are beautifully decorated, and the front desk staff were kind and wonderful. I really liked the hotel and would stay again, but the noise from the halls was a big problem. There seems to be no soundproofing, and light comes in around the whole door, enough that I wondered if it was shut all the way. In the morning, housekeeping talked loudly on speakerphone and woke us despite our white noise. They also went down the hall banging on every door and calling "house keeping" all at once to check whether guests had left, instead of quietly knocking as they cleaned. I've never seen that at another hotel. It was strange and disruptive. Staff could use a reminder to keep the volume down near occupied rooms.

The Tallison is beautiful, modern, and chic, and the customer service is what made the stay special. It's quaint, with easy parking and check-in right outside. Coming from the airport takes about 30 minutes, and check-in was seamless, even when I was rushing off dressed up for dinner or a conference. The happy hour was great too. Tyler was always ready to help with a smile, and Armon at the front desk was so pleasant and took care of everything. I felt right at home and am grateful for the above-and-beyond service. I'll visit again soon.
