Worldmark Indio

The balcony was the best part, with lots of space and a beautiful view. The three-bedroom units are spacious and would suit a family or small group. We didn't have time to try the pool or lazy river, but there seemed to be plenty to choose from. There are grills and planned activities on site, too. The location was convenient, with stores and restaurants nearby, about a 40-minute drive to Palm Springs and around 25 minutes from the airport. We had a great time visiting Indio and the Palm Springs area, but the units need a serious upgrade. It was mostly clean, yet very dated. The carpets looked dingy, smelled stale, and need a good shampoo. Kitchen and bathroom cabinets were chipped, and the appliances were old. We didn't use the sofas or living room chairs because the huge Murphy bed was left pulled out on the floor, with its linens on the chairs. I believe work is underway on the outside of the property, but the rooms need some love. I'd stay again only if the units are renovated. If appearances don't matter much to you, you'd probably enjoy it.

I've stayed in hotels eight to ten times a month for years, and I can't remember the last time a place surprised me this pleasantly. Everything was immaculate: spotless, modern, well-equipped rooms, and staff at this oasis who were second to none. To me, it's one of the best deals in the country. No kidding.

The rooms are nice, but this resort really isn't worth the money. Why isn't the Wi-Fi free when the connection is so bad? And even at the price they charge, it still barely works. Things here just don't seem to work out. I'm starting to dislike the staff too, though I can see they don't have any real say in the matter.

I had a relaxing, enjoyable stay overall, and the pool areas were clean and really nice. The lazy river isn't huge, but it does the job. My main complaints were the internet and the food options. Wi-Fi costs $4.95 for three devices for one day. Their system got confused when I tried to connect, and even though I paid for three, it only let me use two. The connection was also spotty and unreliable. I need fast internet to stream to my computer, so that was frustrating. Please add more APs. There was a small market with Starbucks, a deli, and a few drinks and snacks, but that's it. As far as I could tell, there weren't other places to get food there, and you'd have to drive a good distance to find somewhere to eat. I gave it three stars because of the Wi-Fi.
