The first room they gave us was dirty, with water from the bathroom flooding into the room. The second room was dirty too, and smelled bad. The tub wouldn’t drain, and there were visible stains on the door, chairs, floor, and mattress. We booked another hotel down the street, La Quinta by Wyndam, which was amazing, but couldn’t check in until the next day, so we had to stay one night at Crystal Inn. I couldn’t get a refund for the second night because the booking was a third-party partner offer. We’d reserved two nights through Booking.com because the price seemed reasonable and it was close to LAX and the Sofi Stadium. The app reviews looked fair and the photos suggested it was clean. I didn’t notice it was a partner offer, which meant we couldn’t change the booking. As soon as we entered the parking lot, the property looked dirty. I’ve never had trouble booking through the app before, but I’ll be more careful about partner offers next time.

The parking was awful, with cars crossing the lines and leaving hardly any room next to other vehicles. There were ants all over the bathroom, and the tub wasn’t usable for a shower. People were fighting loudly and nobody intervened. I won’t stay here again.

We didn’t even try to check in. As soon as we pulled up, I felt unsafe and didn’t want to get out of the car, so I booked somewhere else right away. A man was looking into cars, and a kid wearing a staff shirt was running around the lot. The room cleaners looked like kids in regular clothes, without uniforms. We chose this place for the price, but I’ve stayed at similarly priced properties that were never this bad.

The bed is comfortable, but the price is frustrating. They tell people it’s $120, then ask for $150 or more when you arrive. It changes from $120 one day to $145 the next, then $139. Doesn’t make sense.
